We, Korean, would overcome these difficulties.

 

1. Gojoseon, known as Korea's first nation, in 108 BC, was destroyed by the invasion of the Chinese Han, but the spirit of the country still continues.

 

2. In 612, the Sui Dynasty invaded Goguryeo with 300,000 troops, but Goguryeo defeated them with the willingness of the people of Goguryeo including General Euljimundeok and their willingness to overcome the national crisis.

 

3. In 645, the Tang led the army and invaded Goguryeo, but in Ansi Fortress, the Goguryeo army joined forces with the people and fought bravely, defeating the Tang army and defending Ansi Fortress in three months.

 

4. For seven years from 670, Silla defeated the Tang Dynasty who attempted to seize the Korean Peninsula and defended our country with Baekje and Goguryeo citizens.

 

5. In 1018, Koryo was invaded by 100,000 Liao Dynasty, but Koryo, led by General Kang Gam-chan, annihilated and defended them.

 

6. Koryo eventually made friends with the Mongolian Empire founded by Genghis Khan after three invasions for about 40 years from 1231,but who had been against the Mongolian Empire for more than 40 years? That was Koryo. 

 

7. In 1592, the Korean Peninsula was devastated by the invasion of Japan, but we eventually won seven years of war and defeated Japan. We had a lot of people who wanted to overcome the turmoil, namely, unofficial troops, and General Yi Sun-shin as you may know.

 

8. The Qing Dynasty, which invaded Joseon in 1636, forced us to humiliate, but anyway, Joseon maintained the state.

 

9. In 1910, Japan forced the merger of Joseon and ruled it as a colony for 36 years, but we overcame it.

 

10. In the Korean War of 1950, we suffered the tragedy of the nation, and the wounds were not completely healed, but in any case, there is a Korea as it is today.

 

11. Koreans are living our lives through our own powers, including the 4.19 Revolution  against injustice in 1960, the Democratization Protest on May 18, 1980, and the Democratization Protest in June 1987.

한국의 역사 - 우리 국민은 이 어려움을 극복할 것이다.

 

1. 기원전 108년 우리나라 최초의 국가라고 알려진 고조선은 중국 한나라의 침입으로 멸망하였지만, 그 국가 정신은 지금도 이어지고 있다.

 

2. 612년 수나라는 30만 명의 대군으로 고구려를 침입하였지만, 살수대첩에서 을지문덕 장군을 포함한 고구려 국민들의 지략과 국난 극복 의지로 그들을 물리쳤다.

 

3. 645년에 당나라가 군대를 이끌고 고구려를 침입하였지만, 안시성에서 고구려군은 백성들과 힘을 합쳐 용감하게 싸워 3개월 만에 당나라군을 무찌르고 안시성을 지켜 냈다.

 

4. 670년부터 7년간 신라는 한반도를 강탈하려는 당나라를 백제, 고구려 유민들과 힘을 합쳐 무찌르고 한반도를 지켜냈다.

 

5. 1018년 고려는 10만 명에 이르는 거란족의 침입을 맞았지만, 강감찬 장군이 이끄는 고려군은 그들을 섬멸하고 고려를 지켜냈다.

 

6. 칭기즈칸이 세운 몽골제국은 1231년부터 약 40년간 3차례의 침입으로 고려는 결국 그들과 화친을 하기는 했지만, 그 당시 40년 넘게 몽골 제국에 맞선 국가는 누가 있는가? 그것은 바로 고려였다.

 

7. 1592년, 일본의 침입으로 한반도는 피폐화되었지만 7년간 이어진 전쟁에서 결국엔 우리는 승리하고 일본을 물리쳤다. 우리에겐 국란을 극복하고자 하는 많은 국민, 즉 의병이 있었으며, 당신들도 알고 있을지 모를 이순신 장군도 있었다.

 

8. 청나라는 1636년 조선을 침략하여 조선에 굴욕적인 역사를 강요했지만, 어찌 되었든 조선은 국가를 유지하였다.

 

9. 1910년 일본은 조선을 강제 병합하여 36년간 식민지로 지배하였지만, 이를 극복하였다.

 

10. 1950년 한국전쟁으로 우리는 민족상잔의 비극을 겪어 아직 물지 않은 상처로 남아있지만, 어찌 되었건 현재와 같은 대한민국이 존재한다.

 

11. 1960년 불의에 항거한 4.19 혁명, 1980년 5.18의 민주화 항쟁, 1987년 6월 민주화 항쟁 등, 우리 국민은 스스로의 힘으로 현재의 삶을 영유하고 있다.

 

12. 2020년 2월, 우리는, 우리 대한민국은 현재 진행 중인 이 어려움을 과거의 국난 극복사가 보여주듯이 꼭, 아니 필연코 극복할 것이다,
